Created in 2011, the group was founded with the goal to deepen reflections concerning the areas of Physical Education and Sport in intersection with the Human Sciences, emphasizing the theoretical  and methodological references which are originated in anthropology and philosophy, revising concepts such as body, health, physical education, school physical education, leisure, sport, among others. The group is aimed to undergraduates and graduates that develop researches based on the referred areas and exceptionally it can also be accepted the participation of free members or students from another programs who have interest in the themes. 

The group is linked to the Centre for Sociocultural Studies on the Human Movement.
