Master’s Program

Starting in August 2024, admission to the Master’s Program in Physical Education and Sport will follow a Continuous Flow process.  
 
Applicants must submit the following documents via email to the Graduate Office of the School of Physical Education and Sport – USP (cpgeefe@usp.br) within the period specified in the official Call for Applications:  
  • Application form and informational questionnaire;
  • Copy of the national ID card (RG – Cédula de Identidade) for Brazilian applicants. Foreign applicants must submit a valid identification document. Upon enrollment, international students are required to present a temporary or permanent visa that allows them to study in Brazil;
  • One recent 3x4 photograph, in PDF format; 
  • Copy of the Bachelor's degree diploma and academic transcript in Physical Education, Sport, or related fields;
  • Detailed statement from the prospective advisor, highlighting the candidate's academic and professional experience, and evaluating the merit and relevance of the research project to the program’s concentration area and master’s level;
  • Research project in one of the program’s study areas;
  • Proof of English language proficiency. Applicants with passports from countries where English is one of the official languages are exempt from the English proficiency requirement. Portuguese proficiency will not be required for foreign students.  
  • Proof of payment of the registration fee of R$ 214.00 (two hundred and fourteen reais), to be paid via a bank slip, which must be printed and submitted along with the application documents.  
  • Applicants with special needs must provide a document explaining the nature of their condition and any necessary accommodations for participating in the program.  
The Graduate Committee will evaluate the submitted documents and issue a detailed opinion on the proposal’s merit during regular or special meetings.

English Language Proficiency  
 
The English proficiency exam may be taken at any institution and must be proven at the time of application. The following tests are accepted, with the required scores specified in the official Call for Applications:  
 
- **TOEFL** (Test of English as a Foreign Language):  
  - Institutional Testing Program (ITP)  
  - Internet-Based Test (IBT)  
 
- **IELTS Academic** (International English Language Testing System)  
 
- **CAMBRIDGE**: PET  
 
- **Duolingo English Test**  
 
- **Proficiency Exam of the Language Center of FFLCH-USP**
